Seven Steady are thieves in the best sense of the word. They bribed a rock bass player, “borrowed” Snob Scrilla’s touring drummer, stole the acoustic guitar off an indie artist to force him in front of the mic and kidnapped a stray guitarist.
The spoils of their misappropriated influences gives Seven Steady their sound which is likened to Birds of Tokyo taking the Butterfly Effect and Bodyjar out for a double date and not paying for dinner.
The four piece Sydney band has spent the early part of 2009 writing and recording their debut self-titled EP and have already shared the stage with Antiskeptic, Sounds Like Chicken and Snowdroppers. Recent times have seen the single “Sell Out, Yell Out’ getting airtime on Triplem’s radar radio program as well as featured song on TripleJ.
Seven Steady’s album launch at the Hopetoun in April 2009 drew a sell out crowd and over the last few months the boys have played up and down the east coast including the Annandale for the Jaeger Uprising; at festivals in Queensland over the Easter Long Weekend; at Sydney night Hot Damn!, Trash Saturdays, and even have been as far afield as New Zealand to play festival shows supporting Underoath and Switchfoot.
August 2010 saw them embark on an epic “Sell Out, Yell Out” tour, playing shows in Port Macq, Toowoomba and Brisbane.
