A big thanks to everyone who came down to the Sandringham hotel last night. For those that didn’t make it, our new lineup consists of moving Muz onto an instrument with extra strings and a new Bass player!

To celebrate we are giving away a SevenSteady MerchPack. All you have to do is be the first to answer the following questions correctly!

1) Name our new bass player!
2) True or false: Luke once threw up on a Blackhawk helicopter
3) True or false: Paul plays guitar for pop rock star, Cassie Davis
4) True or false: The song “Jack and Jim” refers to Jack Daniels and Jim Beam

Send us your submissions on Facebook or shoot them via email to webmaster@sevensteady.com

Over the next few months we’ll be continuing to work hard on new tunes and hopefully get a CD out sometime next year.

Check out the photos from last night, courtesy of Anna Bolton!

Thanks again!

So we’ve been working hard the past few months putting together a new Sevensteady look  .. and no Muz didn’t change his hair again. We are pumped to unleash this to the world and will be doing so at the Sandringham Hotel in Newtown NEXT WEDNESDAY (24th of November).

Soul Riot and Paul Roth kick off the entertainment at 8pm.

We’d love to see you all there for this special announcement!

(James) Day 3 started out great with a much needed sleep in until 1pm, though Luke did have to drive Muzza to the airport at 5am in the morning (sucka!) The boys wanted to hit up the surf and Paul needed to vote for that election thingy (boorrinngg) so we cruised on into Surfers Paradise for a bit of beach action and some strip clubs. Ok so maybe that last one is a lie (or is it ..) but we definitely went swimming…

4pm came around quick and it was time to get Muzza from the airport. After much flailing of arms and yelling out into the ocean, the boys finally got out of the surf and we headed to the sparkling city of Brisvegas (I’m not sure why I used the word sparkling..)!

Upon entering Fat Louies we realised we had stumbled upon solid gold – half price bourbon and cokes. Score! After a few drinkies, we got our socks rocked by “Vomit Bullets” with the bass player dressed as Sexual Harassment Panda. Yeah you banana benders are crazy. Averice also put on a wicked show, proving to us that Punk is definitely NOT dead. We played a crazy set and managed to launch the crowd into a dancing frenzy which was awesome to see.

Big thanks to everyone who came along to see us and thanks to the wicked bands we played with – Averice we await your tour to Sydney!

After the set we hung around for more cheap drinks and a few games of pool (It’s called Fat Louies Pool hall for a reason). After a nervous game against Ardie, I finally managed to sink one ball and avoided the dreaded nudie run (that’s a universal rule right?)

Next up was the all ages gig in the valley. After some very tasty mexican food and a stop to the music store so Ardie could get some drum sticks; the boys did their stuff at an afternoon gig at the Hive… though Ardie did get a little too excited and started bleeding over his snare drum! Bigups to “Worst Case Scenario” and “Drawcard” for playing with us – you guys rocked! Be sure to checkout their myspaces – both bands are currently on tour and will be playing in Sydney at SFX this Saturday 28th of August and also the Annandale Hotel on Sunday 29th of August.

After the Hive gig, we had to swing past Bunnings to pickup a present. Can I just say; have you ever seen 4 musicians try and put a 40kg BBQ onto a trolly? Massive fail.

That evening TeddiB was kind enough to put on a BBQ for us. Can I just say; BEST STEAKS EVER. Oh and Paul’s salad was nice too …… the rest of the night consisted of Ke$ha, beers, meat, pool and an incredibly cold swimming pool. Thanks TeddiB for a great night :D

We are all home safe and sound now and reality has kicked in (arrgg). Big thanks to everyone who supported us, bought merch and danced like crazy! Our next tour will most likely see us head south to the likes of Melbourne and Adelaide – so keep your eyes peeled!

Remember; be sure to signup to our newsletter for updates and check us on Facebook and Twitter.

Later all!

Tour day 20

Posted In News

Well the day started off with everyone a little red-eyed, running on very little sleep due to some port macq locals which insisted on partying late into the night..

Toowoomba is a long drive; so we stuck our heads down and pushed on, stopping for sugar cane along the way of course. The day primarily consisted of FIFA 09 on Nintendo DS, said sugarcane and one crazy gig at the Celtic club in Toowoomba! We barely got out alive!

Big thanks to Teddi who drove all the up from Brisvegas to come hang with the boys and for taking some seriously wicked photos.

Tour day 10

Posted In News

Well last nights port Macquarie gig was.. Interesting to state the least. Unfortunately Grinspoon was playing in port mac also so competition was stiff – however that didn’t slow the boys down…

Let’s recap;

- Paul did not fall over, however he did unplug Lukes pedal board by accident.. Twice – causing his guitar to stop producing noise half way through a song!

- Sevensteady got encored.. Twice!

- A rather intoxicated member of the crowd grabbed Pauls mic stand and started poll dancing with it

- Phil jamieson from grinspoon had a strange obsession with Muzzas shoes. Apparently they were oversized and causing global warming

- James from Jam magazine requested an interview after the gig, hopefully we’ll get a copy and post it up soon!

All in all a stella night. Big shout out to barbsy for organizing everything and partying with us into the early hours of the morning.

On the road again, next stop toowoomba!
